Hi, i've saw a few post about this chinese game called fung wan, and
currently i'm stuck in a level and i can't get out of it. This maybe
due to the fact that i'm not chinese literate. Is there any site out
there that can help me out. Any fung-wan related sites. I'm stuck at
the level identical to darkman

Thanx

All the site about Fung Yuen that I know of are in Chinese, so it is
probably of no use to you.

Is this a shareware game available for download somewhere?
Or is it a commercial game?

Gee, thanx heaps guys. Currently, i'm having my sister to translate
for me, but its still tough since my sister always give me a weird
look indicating that i'm a chinese "pak chi". Well there is just one
part that i can't undestand how i pass that level.

Situation: This is where "bo king wan" first time encounter with
Saint-Sword (kim seng). Before he fight with Kim-seng he has to fight
with another guy with for-kei lun sword. Question: What must i do to
get Kim-Seng bunch to face me when i step out of the inn?

Guys: can u give me the url to get the patch as well?
Thanx for time.

It's a commercial game made by a Taiwaness company (I think). It's
quite good in terms of the storyline.

Did you get the patch? The game is near unplayable without the patch (all
the stupid random encounters).
Unfortunately all the sites and faqs are in chinese. Which level are you
stuck in?

Its a commercial game developed in Hong Kong. I seriously doubt it went as
far as America.

For-Kei Lun.. is the red and green sword used by duen-longs father,
anyway is the guy in green duen long? The problem i know face is not
sure how to meet the guy in green when I walk out of the inn. To fight

Don't really undestand Cantonese. Whats For-Kei Lun sword??

Duan Lang...oh yeh...Walk to the main gate and walk towards the bottom right
corner, then turn into the first street...I think....

I think you have to take on someone else first before Duan Lang.

here. There are two ninja standing, a white for and i'm unable to

can't pass. There is a golden "bowl" where you're allowed to drop
money into it at the 3rd level. How do i pass this? Is this an
optional level? If it is an optional level, what should i do next
instead of getting myself into whole lum sum of traps and maze. I'm
not sure my "pai yun chang" is level what, but i usally uses my fist
to kill the enemy. There is once that i got stuck, so i emmm hack the
savegame, and kind of max stuffs out. I'm using "Chut Sai Ho Kim" and
with level 40 with attack of average 5000 per hit. I could have betten
"Kim Seng" but the game won't allowed me too =).

The patch is located in soft-world's site. Here is the address:

http://www.soft-world.com.tw/index.html

You do need a Chinese capable browser (i use the IE40 Chinese
extension) for this.

Nope. It is developed in Taiwan. The original Feng Yuen comics is
authored by a famous Hong Kong manga author.

The writing is Chinese. Feng Yuen (the comics) is authored by a Hong
Kong manga writer. A Taiwan company developed the game.

The writing in the comics and the game is in Chinese. (i.e. very few
"Cantonese" specific vocabulary is used.) However, even Cantonese
speaking people usually write in Chinese. And for the same writing,
you can read it out loud both in Cantonese and Mandarin. We always
refered to the writing as Chinese.

For-Kei Lun sword can be directly translated into "Fire Kirin Sword".
Kirin is a mystical beast that makes an appearance in Feng Yuen.

The "Fire Kirin sword" is not very different from a Sword of Dragon
Fire in a fantasy setting.

I was a bit dissapointed with how the game ends. But maybe then i hope
the game ended further instead of just beat Xiong Ba. Anyway a few
question regarding the game:

1: The sword belonging to Nie Feng's dad or for- lun kim (Duen-Long's
sword), can it be found in the game?
2: Whats the best armour, gaulets and helmets you guys found? What
color izzit?
3: Is the game storyline identical to the comic?

ps:// Rick thanx a lot, i heard you mention about a game that has a
game play like Diablo? What's the game name? And izzit any good?

You mean the "Ice Drinking Broadsword"? (It is a broadsword, not a
sword. In Chinese martial arts culture, those are VERY different
weapons.)

Nope. It cannot be found in the game. It has been confirmed by a rep
from Soft-World. However, you can use a hex editor to hack the save
files and obtain the object. I heard it is a pretty awesome weapson.

>3: Is the game storyline identical to the comic?
>

Almost. Some side quest are added to the main storyline. The order
that the events are presented are also changed around. For example,
the comic does not start with Bo Xing Yuen rescued by Mo Ming. That
was added as a "flashback" after the dead of Ho Chi.

Also, in the comic Nie Feng has a much larger part. In fact, he got as
much "screentime" as Bo. A lot of story about he and his father are
ommitted.

Also, Fire Kirin was never killed in the comics. (Well at a point much
later than the conclusion of the game, it was implied that it was
killed. But later on, it was hinted that it was alive.)

The scene of the last battle in the game was also changed. In the
comic, Feng and Yuen fought their master in the middle of the ocean. I
guess that is not so easy to do in the game.

If you have any more question about the comic, I am your man!

Actually it's not really a "broadsword". It has similar function like a
broadsword, in that it is use for cutting rather than stabbing, but it
has only one shape edge like a scimitar, and is usually shape like a
sabre, ie curved. In another word, it's a large curved knife. :)

Er? Did I? The only game like Diablo that I think will be good is Baldur's
Gate. If you're thinking about Icarus, no I do not think it is good.
