Hello all,

This is probably dumb, but I just started Battlespire, and no where can I
see how to quickly regenerate my health and spell points (ie, a "sleep"
option, or "camp", whatever you want to call it). I've glanced over the
relatively poor documentation and minimal online help. I'm honestly hoping I
don't have to wait around to be regenerated. Could someone please just let
me know if I am missing something so I can enjoy this game?

It's been years since I've played any kind of RPG, so maybe I'm not in the
right mindset yet...

Thanks
Terry

There's no way to rest in Battlespire - you can recover life and mana
points through potions or through blue gems that are scattered
throughout. You can also heal with a spell, if you happen to have it in
your spellbook (definitely worth purchasing in the character generation
phase.

Hope that helps,

You poor bastard...

It's a reasonable expectation in most RPGS. Not in Battlespire. For
some reason or other Bethesda decided to make natural healing and resting
both impossible in this game. Not only is there no accelerated rest
command, but if you didn't pick regeneration of the appropriate attribute
at character creation, you can sit around for an hour of realtime and not
regain a single HP.

The only ways to heal are with the regenerates SP/HP advantages, or with
magic. You can find those blue gem things that heal you, and they'll
come back after a bit, so it's not completely hopeless, but I think it's
still a pain in the ass.

You can't rest to heal. But in some areas of the dungeon, you can find
something like small blue gems floating in midair - when you touch them,
they'll restore either your health or your magic power and disappear (only
for a while - they'll come back sooner or later)

You can choose the regenerate health "skill" while generating a
character. Its expensive, but worth it, since the healing gems &
potions are far and few between. Even then the healing is slow... Its
the one big flaw I've found in an otherwise great game.
