By the defense of Northwarden, I'm supposed to do several things. The
third or fourth mission is to find 6 Moredhel Illusionists to the SE of
Northwarden, and I guess I'm supposed to rid the gameworld of their
existence. There's just one little problem, I can't find them anywhere! A
hint, a clue, some help please anyone?? (I'm stuck for almost three weeks
now!!)

Xmas greetings from Mario (it's the season!)

Thanks to the help of some people here, I got to the next chapter of
Betrayal at Krondor. Great!! But now I ran into another problem (seems
like the further you get, the harder the puzzles). I'm in chapter 6,
Betrayal, were you need to find the Book of Macros. I'm at a town called
Eggley, and I need to get in the office of a dead guy. The key is
supposed to be somewhere around, but I can't find it. Anyone who can
rescue me??

Talk to the tax collector in Krondor's tavern/inn. He will talk about a
key that he lost. Find it for him and he'll let you use it...and guess
where you have to use it...

"If there is any item that can banish any abyssmal darkness, it is
faith--faith in our kindred, in our beliefs, in ourselves. It is
the single, shining candle that warms our souls from Reality's cold
and wicked chills and guides us through Fate's shadowy halls.

It is the center of our light.

And though it may flutter and wane, Faith never truly expires.
Instead, it hides--expectant--atop a dull, easily forgotten sconce
within hearts, waiting for the merest whisper of a thought to revive
its cascading brilliance. So...look to your candle when your are
sad; look to your candle when you have lost hope, and it will guide
you onward."--from my personal musings.

There is a well behind a house in the far back. They are tough as
hell too. Take many healing potions and save first

How do I repair Guarda Revanche?
I have the hilt but the blade is missing.

I hate answering questions with another question, but where did you get
the hilt? It has been a year since I last went through the game and I
can't seem to remember where it was.

Any help would be appreciated and reciprocated if possible.

VIVE LE POISSON!! The blade is activated by a grey shell that is held by a
rusalki near the river. She will want you to kill some mage for it.

What's the version number of your game?

I had this problem at first. If you have almost a full inventory, the
sack/cache she shows you will contain only food. However, if you put
most of you possessions in a tree or chest before talking to her, then
half of the food will appear in your inventory and that cache of items
that she displays to you will have the shell in it. I suppose the
programmers allowed for only a certain number of items to be placed on
that screen. So, if you don't have room enough in *your* inventory to
take some of the rusalki's burden initially, you won't see the shell.

At least, this is how things transpired on my version. It should work
for yours as well. Just remember to go to the rusalki, when she offers
you the shell, with as few items in your inventory as possible.

I am interested in buying this game. But I have been told that in order to
understand this game, I would have to read the books that this game has been
based on. Is this true? And also, how is the game?

The gameplay is independent of anything in the books, but reading
Feist's books will make playing the game more enjoyable. The main
game characters, Owyn and Gorath, do not appear in the books at
all, though several other characters play major roles in them.

I've not read any of his books, but I love this game. One of the richest RPGs
out there, to be sure.

I'd probably say you don't have to read the books, but the series is well
written and worth the time it would take to read it.
