I have just purchased MM6 and installed the latest Directx drivers.

However, the game flashes to a black screen, then reverts to the desktop. Can
anyone help?

No problem. All you have to do is call 3DO tech support and never get
a response. The best thing to do is return it as fast as possible
since there is no fix or solution. Get rid of it like a case of the
clap!

Can you give a little more detail about your computer? Try setting your
video mode to 16-bit before running the game also.

I thought you mean your party dies up on start up :). Have you tried reinstalling
it? to another HD (if you have one)? Take it back and exchange for another copy?
Reboot your w95?...MM6 occasionally just does this to me, all I have to do is
shut down my pc and reboot it and it works just fine.

Kevin,

I have the exact same problem, and have been trying to get
help from 3DO for 2 weeks now. So I've have MM6 for 2 weeks,
and have yet to play one single second of it.

I have a Diamond Stealth 3D 2000, and the drivers installed with
DirectX 5.0 show as 'Certified'. But no luck running MM6.

Not to be a jerk to 3DO, but the Baldur's Gate NID worked
perfectly first time on my machine...;-)

I don't think memory is the problem (on my machine, at least).
I've got 64MB.

I bought the limited edition the day it hit the shelves. Have yet to play
one second of it. It plays the movie and then hangs on the screen right
before the menu comes up. Tech support has been no help. Has anyone that
had this problem figured it out? I have 48 megs of memory. It's killing
me to see all these posts and know I can't play.

Install DirectX 5.2 and overwrite your 2d vga card drivers.

Remove [nospam] from my email address to mail me.
Sorry for the inconvenience .

I have this problem intermittantly and it appears to have something to
do with starting up the CD music --
I have finally found a method that always works (for me at least) --
just before the menu should come up I eject the cd and then reinsert
it -- you have to do this while there is still some hardisk activity
-- once the harddisk stops all you can do is reboot --
