Sorry, but there really aren't enough statistics modifier sites or objects
in all of Clouds of Xeen for your characters to have 250+ might or 100+
intellect. The only way you'll get stats that high is if you buy Darkside
of Xeen & combine it with Clouds of Xeen, so that your characters can
explore everything on the other side of the World of Xeen. There are
*many* more opportunities for experience, gold, incredibly powerful items
etc. on Darkside than on Clouds. After my party of characters finished
touring most of Darkside, they were able to go back & open the sarcophagi
& read the books in the dragon cave. I even used temporary modifiers &
items to raise the intellect of 2 or 3 of 'em high enough to read "The Art
of Taxation", which requires 255+ intellect to understand. Ebeneezer the
Taxman must be a *lot* sharper than he looks... ^_^
BTW your 13th level Elven sorceror with only 13 HP must have *terrible*
constitution. He really needs to have it raised. I recommend that you let
him have the next several constitution modifiers you come across, until
you're comfortable with the ratio of his hit points vs. the rest of the
party. He's too vulnerable to stray arrows as he is.
...Endurance!! I mean "endurance", not "constitution"!!!! (I've been
playing Bard's Tale I, II & III for too long... :)
Once you do get Darkside of Xeen, here's a sneaky trick my party used to
temporarily increase all characters' intellect by +70. We visited the
Well of Intellect first (+ 50 int., Clouds B3 x15, y4), the Sage Fountain
second (+10 int. & +10 per., Clouds D3, x8, y9), and the Shrine of the
Gods third (+10 all statistics, Darkside D4 x12, y4). Despite the usual
nature of temporary statistics modifiers to be uncooperative, these three,
when visited in this particular order, temporarily granted us each +70
extra Intellect! This was indeed a good thing, since items with the
prefix "Genius" are very hard to find.
