PST : Stealing from curiosity shop.

Was anyone successful? I bumped Annah's pick pocket stats to the maximum of
127% and I was never able to steal the drake teeth nor the hammer. In fact, i
don't think I was able to steal anything from the shop. I also have little
success in stealing from other shops. Does anyone knows the factors that will
affect the success?

and try to improve my charisma before buying that amazing hammer. Or is there
a better weapon shortly down the road? I have finished up to before going to
Ravel's maze. Had done under sigil, modron rubikon and lady of pain's maze.
In fact, when do I get a good edge weapon? Seems like I have mistakenly
mastered my edge without having a good edge weapon. Seems like the best ones
are the hammers. If I cannot steal or buy from the curiosity shop, I probably
had to settle for the cheaper Godsmen Hammer.

Hmmm, the best edged weapons AFAIK aren't available until late in the game
(Entropic Blade, Celestial Fire). That hammer you get from the Lady's maze
is pretty tough, you know.

The really neat weapons are punch daggers, which come with AC and luck
bonuses, etc. However there are some neat edged weapons in the form of a
shard of the statue in the gallery, and a finger nail.
Edged is probably a good proficiency to have if you plan to switch to
mage, thief etc. It's no fun having the wonderful hammer when you are a
mage or thief, and can only carry it around in your backpack!

The game messed up a little bit giving you the Punch Daggers of Moorin
so early.
BTW, how the hell do you get that shard? I have a hammer(not a giant
combat doohickey, your average plain vanilla hammer) and 19 DEX, but
all it says is that I need a hammer to do it.

Any hammer you can equip as a weapon is too big.
You cannot make a weapon in the Godsmen Forge using any =weapon type=
hammer.
You =can= make weapons in the Forge.
Figure it out from there.
