Anachronox: this is a bug, right?

Hi, I seem to have hit a snag in Sender Station. I'm trying to go to Sunder.
I've got two tickets, lab coats, and I've gone to the Science Center and
downloaded the database into PAL. But when I go to gate 5 and try to either
open the door or hack the data jack thing, it says I need scientific
credentials. Also, when I tried to buy the lab coats, it said credentials
were required, even though I had them. That one I was able to hack. I assume
this is a bug, but no one else seems to be talking about it. Am I just
lucky? I really don't want to have to go back to an old save and start over
(actually, I tried that once and it didn't work). Any ideas?

You need tickets as well. There are three criteria to get on the
shuttle.

1. Lab Coats
2. Scientific Knowledge
3. Tickets

You can obtain scientific credentials from a scientist in the hotel.
However, the way to obtain this credential is not very straight forward.
You need to talk to a woman outside first. She would say that she wish
someone to give her a rose blah blah blah. And then you go to the hotel.
Find the scientist. Talk to him. Pick up the rose on the table. Give the
rose to the woman. The woman will then talk to you and then she'll walk to
the hotel to meet the scientist. You follow the woman to the hotel. The
woman talk to the scientist. The scientist will then choose to stay with
this woman and won't go to Sunder and then he'll give you his credential.

IIRC PAL only helps you to answer those silly scientific questions, but you
still needs the credential to enter the gate first.

I just think of one more thing... There is a guy in the hostal that Grumpos
can yammer him for something. I can't exactly remember. It could be
another ticket or credential....

Ok, have you hacked the computer at the wallmart to get the lab coats ??

Button tray on the left has a computer terminal at it's base, get PAL to
hack it.

You should be able to hack the data port at the gate door with PAL,
regardless of the other requisites (2 tickets and lab coats).
It was the first thing I did when I arrived on the station.

Don't listen to the other posters, they are completely confused.

There are no "credentials" that you can receive.
If you cannot hack the port, then it is a bug. But try again.

This was such an easy part of the game I'm having trouble realising why
he can't get on the shuttle ?

Lets hope he gets it's sorted out.

There were many reports from people who could not find the second
ticket (even though there are 3 different ways one can get a ticket).
Some could not find the lab coats.
But so far nobody had problems with the bay door.
