I just read a short news article up at AVault about a WW2 CRPG called
Weird War. The screen shot looks pretty decent.

Sounds pretty cool, actually. WWII may be beat to death in shooters, but I
can't think of any cRPGs that really touched on the subject. I'll be
intrested to see if it's RPG a la the Fallout vein or more Jagged Alliance
2.

Sadly, the webpage linked from the snippet on aVault and the one linked from
www.techland.pl for Weird War don't seem to exist, so it's dificult to get
anym ore information then "It's called Weird War"

Incidently, what's Seige of Avalon? They have a link to it from their site
and it appears to be a cRPG in English, but I've never heard of it. Anyone
know something about this? Is it any good? (According to their snippet,
it's "Siege of Avalon to gra z gatunku cRPG stworzona przez zespól Digital
Tome." which means basically nothing to me. :) )

Does anyone have the link to the main site?

I've come up with:

I believe Siege of Avalon is an eposodic RPG that cam out last year.
It was broken up into chapters. They used to have the first chapter
available for free. You might want to check it out.

Steve Jackson Games just released a GURPS worldbook: "Weird War II", which
looks to be fun. Maybe it is the same setting?

Possible. There was no mention in the article about it being a
licensed product. All it stated was that this was from a Poilish
studio and would be released in North America late this year or early
next, I cannot remember which.

I just read an article on RPGCodex which says this game is based on a
classic Polish movie from 1970 called "How I Unleashed World War II", about
the unlucky adventures of a soldier named Franek Dolas. The guy who played
Franek Dolas in the movie will voice him in the game. In Polish, that is.
In English we probably get the usual crap voice acting.

Not much to do with the GURPS game -- though a game based on that sounds
like it might be pretty cool.
