Daggerfall newbie help - finding residences!!!

Ok.....I just started and already I seem to have a problem. (well a
couple...but one major). I have joined the Mage Guild in Daggerfall and
have been doing some quests for them. After completing three, the guy I
get the quests from hands me this letter saying that an Archmage wants to
me with me in a temple in Daggerfall. Ok so far....
The archmage says this lady is in trouble and I have to speak to her or
escort this Oracle person to speak with her. The Oracle is at the Inner
Altar of Kynare (I can find her no problem), however my dilemma is that I
cannot find the house that this woman is in. I am told that she is staying
at Moorsley Residence. I have searched the WHOLE BLOODY MAP for the place
to no avail....and it doesn't seem to be a topic of conversation. I would
be satisfied to let this women die and go on....however I think this will
become a problem in the future. Anyone know what to do....or what I am
doing wrong in terms of finding the house?
Second (minor - hopefully) problem. The Queen in Daggerfall will not talk
to me. I don't get a "No Response" or anything like that when I click on
her.....just nothing, mind you my PER is 48...is that the prob??

Talk to a person, ask about "general" and there should be a prompt for the
"xyz residence". Alternatively you should be able to ask for a person if
you know that name.
It won't show up on the map until a person you talk to marks it on your map
for you.

She isn't interested in you right now. Don't worry about it. Aubk-i will
"summon" you eventually and perhaps even before that you can do minor quests
for you. Just keep in mind that you are a brand new resident to Daggerfall
and the Queen has no time for someone like you. Do a few quests for the
guilds and then go back and see her.

Hmm... Maybe you've tried it already, but just in case... Try "There is - place",
and then "General" - such things as residences are always there.

Maybe your court reputation is low? AFAIK, quests for nobles could help.

Walks like a bug, quacks like a bug ... I know there was a bug on
quests if you did not leave town between the end of one quest and
the time you asked for a new quest from the same guild. On several
such occasions, I was unable to find the house I was pointed to.
I'm not sure if this is fixed in patch 213, since I've made it a
habit to nomad about quite a bit. :)
If you have patch 213, try running fixsave before you give up.
The quest should have worked - I have run that quest a lot of times
(except the fellow in the temple is called "acolyte") and I always
go find the house first and talk to the noble before I go fetch
the Oracle. But I sometimes have to break into the house since it
may be locked! (A very cheap homemade open spell does the trick.)

I have never gone looking for the oracle, instead I ask people where the
residence is located, go in that direction. Ask some more please until
one of them marks it on my map for me. Then I go to the residence and
talk to the person in danger. They tell me about their "kidnapped lover"
and what location "the lover" was near when kidnapped. The I go to
that dungeon and "rescue the lover" and go back to the person in danger,
they reunited and i get paid.
The Queen doesn't talk to you until you do the Cyndassa - The Werebeast
quest. Then the Queen of daggerfall will summons you.
Cyndassa can be found behind the door on the left side of the throneroom
on the back wall.
