You're just not doing the right thing. Use your crouch command,
default is (D) and then move mouse until it is an X and left click.
You can also use the delete key to look down and then click. Hope this
helps.
After you kill them, just duck down (easier for me) and click on the
body/pile of treasure in grab mode. It'll pop up the inventory and you'll
see a bunch of stuff on your far right side, which is the stuff on the
ground. Removing them actually puts them in your inventory, equip does
just that.

You're just not doing the right thing. Use your crouch command,
I was confused by that as well. It appears the bodies have nothing

I've had no problem with the game telling me that a body didn't have any
loot on it. Matter of fact, it puts the same line about four times
across the top of the screen telling me that!

Try crouching ('d' key) before you attempt to pick up off the floor/
search dead bodies. Look at the stuff in the sarcophagus with the
'ALT-mouse' combo, line the cross hairs on the stuff and left click.

Depending on your interface.. I use the cursor interface and I have to
look down most of the time to loot the victims. You can also use the
right button when your weapon is not active.
Just as long as your cursor is an X, and its pointing right on the dead
guy, it should take you right to the inventory screen..
good luck,

Picking stuff up can be a little tricky. Try crouching next to
the treasure pile and then click on it, that generally does the trick
for me.
Robbing a coffin isn't always possible, unless it was really a regular
treasure pile. The bodies, etc inside coffins are usually just
eye candy.

Game is very picky about where things are located in the screen. For me,
I've been able to grab treasure by making sure the body/cache/etc. on the
floor is centered exactly within the screen, requiring me to look down. I
hadn't considered the crouch. One way or the other, you need to position
the thing you wish to grab almost dead center to get to it.
Enjoy, Clark
I just always (D)uck to get the treasure off dead enemies, then
un(D)uck. Kind of annoying. It leaves you in an awkward position in
case another enemy comes in and attacks you... maybe that's why they
did it?

At the "head" of the summoning circle is a small podium. Click on
it and one shelf will swing open like a door - giving you access. Not
much in there though.

I'm trying to figure out how to get there too. If anyone has any clues,
or has done it themselves, let us know.
Thanks in advance,

*SPOILER*
Just click on the altar/stand thingy by the circle, it makes the
bookcase rotate so you can enter

No, no, no, you have to click on the small wooden table beside the
summoning circle in the same room as the bookcases, then you'll see
the bookcase move. I tried it, it works.
You need to touch the small book pedastal that is in front of the
circle of candles the the imp is in when you first enter the room, that
will move one of the bookcases so you can retrieve the items behind.

Hmmm, well I got in otherwise. I turned sideways to the crack and then
did a slide left (left shift key). After a climbing message, a getting
stuck in item message, and lots of jumping and aiming the right direction
I got in. Did the same thing to get back.

I forget where I got the information, but if you touch the podium one
of the bookcases rotates. If you just look in the crack created, you
can grab treasure. but if you manage to wiggle in you get two treasure
piles!
