Check out the chests and drawers in each room. You'll find a scroll.

His room is on the floor just below the top. 5th I believe.
There is an NPC on the same floor who will actually lead you there.

In some container (it *might* have been locked) you should find a
scroll. The scroll basically just says:
(major spoiler)
"I guess I've died. Gee, life's bummer isn't it. Good luck to you, my
child.
"You have BAD BLOOD in you, child. You are the son / daughter of Bhaal,
the God of Murder. He somehow learned of his coming death before it
happend, and <ahem> forced himself onto women of all races, creating a
'score of mortal progeny' (sp?)."
He might have said what you were supposed to do with your bad blood, but
I can't remember. If there was anything, then I'm pretty sure it was
something like "Some people will try to kill you because of that. Don't
let them do that to you."
