You might be able to talk to Morpheus with a high enough Charisma and
Speech skill. I don't recall whether I succeeded then blew him away,
or just blew him away. :)

I'm wondering about that one girl on the first floor of the cathedral
though... she is in one of the front rooms (just as you enter the
cathedral) and speaks with a talking head, but I never did get her to
say much more than something like "You'd have to talk to Morpheus for
information."

You have to kill that purple robed guy to the right take the robe from his
corpse and put it on, you can move freely after that, although morpheus is
just a prick to ya and he doesnt say much.

Really? So if you are not a thief character, then you can't go fight
the Master? I picklocked the first door to the elevator so now I will try the
elevator itself.

You need to talk to the Children of the Apocalypse found in the
Boneyard. They will tell ya of their spy so you can give that girl the
appropriate key phrase.

I think that Morpheus' key open that door as well as the one behind
the altar. For those who do not know, his key is a blackish COC (Children
of the Cathedral) button. I am not 100% sure about this, though.

Well, use your science skill, and if there is anything of interest,
there will be a message in the text monitor. I remember that there
was some decent xpt in hacking the computers in the mad scientists' lab.

Never got to speak to him at all. As soon as I set foot on this floor,
the Nightkin attack, and he joins the fray. I hope that in Fallout II
NPCs will be smart enough to retreat without getting hurt first.
It is kinda silly for a guy in robes to jump someone who just 'wanished'
six super mutants in one turn. (Yes, it has happened to me.... Fast
shot, fire bonus, sniper, and two extra APs give you six criticals
per turn with the alien blaster)

That's Laura, a spy for the Followers of the Apolcalypse. If you talk
to Nicole in the LA library, you will be offered the services of
four followers scouts, and their top spy, Laura. Not that they are
of any use, but it makes me feel better when I know that she gets
away before the blast.

Okay:
1. elevator: You need to use Lockpick on the Elevator. This was designed
to filter out non-Thief characters.

2. Killing: Wear purple robes.

3. Morpheus: Talk politely to Lasher. He can give you a pass to see
Morpheus.

4. Computers: Not much. There are some useful computers, but they
are not required... Just some background info.

On an alien's body near a crashed flying saucer. It is one of the 'special'
random encounters. Speaking of scpeial random encounters, here are the
ones that I have witnessed:

1. Alien ship. A picture of Elvis, and the alien blaster (best close range
weapon in fallout)

2. Dr. Who's phone booth. A motion detector

3. Godzilla's footprint. A stealth boy (cloak device)

4. Bob's Car Dealership. A BB gun (useless) and a Limited Edition BB gun
(light, precise, good damage, and 100 shots)

5. An overturned truck. A crate with about 10000 caps.

6. A herd of Brahmins. I could not figure this one out.

Has anyone seen any others?

Blow the door up. Works great :-).

Cool, I'll have to go back and try that.
