Gothic 2: Brightness/Contrast/Gamma do not save!

Hello!

I have a serious problem in Gothic II:

It is a bit too dark for my taste, so I adjusted Brightness and
Contrast around 3-4 clicks to the right each.

Gamma looked fine, and I was pleased.

Okay, I continued playing... BOOM. The Sliders are adjusted correctly,
but the brightness and contrast was as it was before!!!

I got a hint that I did not understand: I should lower a slider to the
left.

Okay, decreasing brightness and contrast worked... but raising it not.

Somehow I managed to increase contrast and it worked, but brightness
is still down.

I am getting mad fiddling with these sliders...

I tried to adjust Gamma/Brightness manually from outside with my
Nvidia Drivers 41.09, but it looked terrible ingame..

Can anyone tell me where to adjust these settings manually in an .cfg
or .ini file or well,

what can I do?

I personally found package and tests of Gothic II promising, but the
list of bugs I already heard of completely ruins the game for me right
now.

Perhaps I can continue to discover bugs if someone has a workaround
for brightness/contrast <sigh>

Okay... i give up, it is too dark and I do not like it when games
start with such problems.

Waiting for the patch... <sigh>
