Has anyone else noticed the new newsgroups:

rec.games.computer.ultima.online
alt.games.ultima-online

I just noticed them today but there doesn't seem to be any messages. I
am looking forward to some discussions in these groups.

UO is a breathtaking game (if you can call it that). I have had NO
problems with crashing or "Lag" but maybe that is because I have a very
fast direct cable connection to the Internet. Over the last few weeks
of playing, I have looked unsuccessfully for online tips for new players
just starting off (other than Origin's site). Doesn't seem to be too
many "unofficial" web sites. Is Origin discouraging people from
creating WWW sites other than "Guilds"? Can anyone explain what these
WWW guilds are and why I should join one????

alt.games.ultima-online: 1200+ recent messages

I'm avidly reading the first, deleted the second after a couple of
days.

One of the best sites for news/stories is www.uovault.com

There are many other sites out there, but I've been noticing that many
were created during the Beta test (please, I know...) and haven't been
updated.
