Help! Sul Matuul Won't Stop Trying To Kill Me

Hi gang,
I'm in a bit of a jam. I've gone into the Urshilaku camp to talk to Sul
Matuul about whether or not I'm the Nevarine. I've entered his tent twice,
thus ticking him off. Fortunately, I remembered the tip about not doing so,
so I stopped and started talking to the villagers getting their approval
ratings for me up around 70-100%. I finally got the clue about talking to
Sul's sidekick, and immediately did so. After challenging him to a duel, he
told he that he thought I was cool, and gave me permission to talk to Sul.
However, when I go back into Sul's tent for the third time, he immediately
attacks me. I cannot seem to reason with this maniac. I have no savegames
prior to this to go back to, so someone please help me figure out a way to
get around this. Thank in advance for your help! --James

If I recall correctly, the local trader (Kurapli) can fix things for you.

Use the console command TAI (Toggle AI) to turn off the artificial
intelligence. After this you should be able to talk to him.
I had the exact same problem, and this worked for me.

Calm Humanoid should let you talk to him. I faced a similar problem because
I ticked off a slave trader that is essential to the main quest by trying
pick-pocket her slave key. She kept attacking me, but I cast Calm Humanoid
and was able to continue talking to her.
