I have no idea about your question but a question of my own:
Is there any difference between "Neverwinter Nights Platinum" and the
"Neverwinter Nights Deluxe Edition"?
You're referring to the Diamond edition, right? As I recall, the Platinum
edition has only the Undrentide and Underdark expansions. The Diamond
edition includes both of those and the Kingmaker expansion on top of it.
Being released later, the Diamond edition also has later patches included
with it.
In general, later editions of most games will tend to include more stuff,
so you should be able to get the most bang for your buck by referring to
release dates. This isn't guaranteed to be true with Bioware products now
that the Electronic Arts buyout is effective.

No to the Deluxe Edition. That´s the name of the german version and from
your description I guess that the german deluxe edition is the same as
the platinum edition, meaning NWN + 2 expansions.
Didn't know there was a German edition with a different name, thanks for
the correction. Anybody else tired of game name modifiers with precious
metals or gemstones that don't otherwise impart any information about
what's different?
-KKC, who expects to see Neverwinter Nights: Corporate OEM edition. It'll
come with Windows by default, like Solitaire and Pinball. :)

NWN 1 used an engine that favoured OpenGL and thus ... Nvidia cards.
I don't remember having the option to choose a renderer but if so then
using D3D would have been mainly for the benefit of ATI cards.
OpenGL aint dead - its just not used as often as D3D
hmm.... like a Diner's credit card then :) I'd go for Visa
