This game is giving me more trouble than the previous two M&Ms combined.

Now I'm having a problem with the Cauri Blackthorne quest in Murmurwood. I
think I have found all the statues (five?) but I can't restore any of them
to a living Cauri. I noticed the stones arranged in big arrows and where
they triangulate on the map, there is a statue nearby. But Stone to Flesh
doesn't do anything to it. In desperation I've turned to Web sites covering
this game, and they seem to indicate that is the statue. It is north and
slightly west of the Druid Circle. Somewhere I read that it has to be a
Stone to Flesh *scroll*, just a party member who has that spell casting it
doesn't work. (That seems dumb, if it's true.) But the scroll doesn't do
anything either.

I had two Stone to Flesh scrolls, and wasted one on another statue. I'm
wondering, does it have to be the specific scroll I get from Dantillon in
Murmurwoods? (Since I only have one scroll left, I've been saving before
trying it on each statue.

One Web site says the statue is *northeast* of the Druid Circle, but I can't
find any statue there. I'm assuming that's a mistake--unless the statues are
randomly placed for each game.

Aaarrgghhh. I need to complete this quest to promote my dark elf. Am I
missing something?

Strange, as it's actually the easiest of the three...

Yes, yes. Everyone had that problem. :-p You have to *carry* the
scroll of Stone to Flesh in the active character's inventory, and then
just click on the statue. That's it. Don't try to cast the spell,
not even from the scroll, that doesn't work!

Ah! I guess that's the only thing I didn't try. :-/ Thanks a million,

A bit late perhaps, but my experiences is that Cauri is whichever
statue you revive LAST. You need 5 scrolls for it (the quest guy in
the same town should give those to you)

When I did that quest, she was one of the first statues I clicked on (either
the first or the second one, don't remember exactly), so I don't think the
order you click on them is relevant.

Thanks, but I got it. My mistake was in trying to use the scrolls to cast
the spell. As someone here told me, you just click on the statue with the
character who's carrying the scroll. I did that with the statue just north
of the Druid Circle, and that did it, Cauri appeared.

You're saying you can actually revive the other statues too? I never thought
to try those after restoring Cauri.

I think that guy in the town only gave me one scroll. Not sure about that.
