Hi I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if gamepads are
compatible with Return to Castle Wolfenstein? There doesn't seem to be
an option in the game, is there something I need to download? I have a
Logitech Precision gamepad if that helps. Thanks. Jennifer.

You're really going to want to play that game (or any First Person Shooter)
with the keyboard and mouse rather than a gamepad, assuming you don't have
health reasons for not being able to do so. I would try the game out with
the default control mappings and you will get used to it eventually (and it
probably won't take that long; keyboard/mouse with a traditional WASD setup
is just "natural" for shooters).

I prefer the gamepad, laptop layouts are awkward. I have been told so
many times that key/mouse is best but I don't see it at all.

Micheal, How about you just FUCKING TELL HIM HOW TO DO IT?!?!

okay, First find the folder in RTCW called "main". After that, click on wolfconfig. find

seta in_joystick "0"

Change 0 to 1.

Plug in your controller and go to controls. click on One option and press a button on the controller. that's how you set it up. unfortunately the aiming is very sensitive, so if you want, you can use the pad to move around, and then use the mouse. but whatever. It's still kinda fun.
