I seem to be stuck dealing with eradication from terminator bots, etc. Any
hints on how to either prevent or restore from eradication? My party
(P,A,S,D) is at lvl 87 now, marking time, before taking on the hive. Still
can't complete the Control Center because of the damned Terminators, and the
Supreme Titans are another PITA. BTW, I have Blaster skill up around 13 for
all, but the silly things don't do as much damage as my trusty weapons and
spells. Aren't they supposed to be the best things to use in the endgame?

In article <79rgp4$q3p$1...@nnrp02.primenet.com>, fo...@primenet.com says...
If somebody with Spirit magic has the ressurect spell (or anybody with a
scroll of it) you can recover from eradication. Raise dead doesn't work,
has to be ressurect. As for blasters, they fire quickly (you'll see some
of your party get 2 shots off before the monsters hit back where before
you'd only get 1 shot) but have less damage. Some folks like 'em, some
don't. Personally, I used them right thru the end of the game myself.

I never did totally clear out the Control Center because of them. I
could only find 3 Blaster Rifles as well. I don't think there's
anything you can do to prevent it though extra magic resistence might
help. However, your clerics can raise your characters and you can get
healed in the Free Haven Temple.

I didn't use them much either. I tried to in one of the end battles
and got wiped out. Next time, I used "traditional" means and did OK
though knowing what I was up against certainly factors into that.
Anyway, if you have any other weapons equipped along with your
blasters, your rate of fire will be much reduced. The only thing that
makes blasters worth using is their rate of fire, so you don't want to
slow it down. I think you are OK if you have a shield in your second
hand. I think the idea of blasters is that they replace bows in
situations where bows kick butt. So, if you can keep range, blasters
will serve you well. Once it gets up close and personal, though, I
think it's better without them.

Supposedly, the blasters will destroy <spoiler deleted> in the endgame
more quickly, but they're not necessary, just convenient.

Try to get your dark magic skill way up in the 20 's . Shrapmetal is a REAL terminator killer !! ;-))
My spellcasters were both at skill level 29. They really did some major damage !
Good luck dude

Blaster rifles (you should find four) have a naturally more rapid rate of
use recovery and when used by PCs that are Hasted provide nearly continuous
fire. Get up close and personal (knee height) with a Titan and try it out.
They fall rather easily and are unable to inflict much damage. Using this
technique I cleaned out the entire Control Center, all of Hermit's Isle and
all of Dragon Sands without much trouble.

You can cure Eradication at the Temple in, erm, the biggest town (where the
Control Centre is) =)... sorry but it's been 5 months since I played the
game.

The Blasters are good (if mastered) because they fire so dang fast, and
they also are the only things that work in the Hive.
