I just got him in my party. I read that, by talking to him, I can get
Nordom to become more fighter-like (or thief or mage-like) depending on
certain dialogue choices and he can also give me certain items and increase
my stats. I've tried every dialogue branch and nothing is happening. Is my
character's intellgence too low. I think it's around 14 or 15. Thanks.

try to pump up charisma and talk to him again. higher Wis/Int sure can help too.

BTW how do you make him/it more thief or mage-like ?

Also, make sure you've found and talked to the Evil Wizard Construct before
attempting to "upgrade" Nordom.

Hm, perhaps it depends on the class of TNO at the moment you talk to him?

In article <3A511E88...@usa.net>,

AFAIK you can improve Nodro four times:

1) If Nameless is currently a fighter with high strength (17-ish?) he
can tell Nodrom to be more fighter-like.

2) If Nameless is currently a mage with high intelligence (16-18ish?)
he can tell Nodrom to be more mage-like.

3) If Nameless is currently a thief with high dexterity (17-ish?) he
can tell Nodrom to be more thief-like.

4) If Nameless has high charisma (17-ish?) he can motivate Nodrom into
being a better modron. After giving the motivational speech, if
Nameless's charisma is 17-19 (I think), Nodrom will show a small
improvement. If Nameless's charisma is 20 or more, Nodrom will show a
large improvement. Note that this motivational speech can only be done
once, so it is better to ensure that Nameless's Charisma is 20 or more
in order to get the best improvement for Nodrom.

Also, in order to get Nordrom to create special ammo, your Intelligence
needs to be high (18-ish?).

And, as another poster stated, I don't think these improvements can be
done until after you kill the wizard in the maze.
