The orbs are kicking my butt!!! What level should I be around when I
take on this place?
What magic or weapons work best against them. Any other tips are
welcome.

thanks

I like to rush the terminator using sharpmetal (Incinerate also works) from
cleric & magic user, knight and Pladin use spear and sword. Then take out
the lesser bots. Full protection, day of gods, hour of power. I have 2
blaters & use them when I run out of spell points. They don't do much dmg,
but have a high rate of fire. I 'm lvl 102 respectivley, but I dont feel
anymore powerful than when I was lvl 80 or so. You just get to hang out
longer before town portaling back to the temple. good luck.

I don't know, but my party was over 100 (maybe 106 or so) when I went
in here, and it wasn't high enough. I did manage to clear out all the
smaller rooms and find 3 blaster rifles and a good 8 or 9 blasters.
Never did find a 4th rifle. However, when I got to the 2 large rooms
loaded with terminators, I threw in the towel. I tried to run through
that room figuring I'd find other rooms with more rifles on the other
side. Instead ran into another large room filled with terminators. I
decided it wasn't worth the trouble. That makes it the only dungeon
in the entire game that I didn't totally clear out.

I found that Air and Fire magic worked (my archer is quite good in Air)
and of course shrapmetal. I didn't clean it out, left the place when I had
two rifles and a load of small blasters. I suppose those consoles might
have had some interesting info, but go tired of the repetitions and wanted
to finish the game. Actually, you don't need the rifles. The small
blasters work fine against the reactor, it just takes a bit more time. As
for the devils in the hive, I found that melee combat was quite effective
with a few spells thrown in to speed it up once the first room was cleaned
out.

Melee combat? My party got their butts kicked when they tried to
melee these guys. Although, to be honest, I did try to use the
blasters rather than my normal melee weapons. I think my problem was
going into that large room and casting Inferno and getting ALL of them
to come after me. :) After that, I used Sparks almost exclusively to
clear the rest of the place out. BTW, was anybody else ticked off
when the Demon Queen had absolutely NOTHING on her body? You would
think she would be carrying some powerful artifact, or something.

different. of course. I used Shrapmetal a lot there and killed of a lot of the
fliers, went out and healed and returned before I jumped down. For some reason
I forgot to try out Sparks. It would have been a very efficient choice assuming
that it would work on all of the devils (I think it does).

And yes, I was a bit disappointed that the queen had no artifact on her. I was
expecting something unusual as well.

Btw, don't you find it strange that the monsters can fly inside a dungeon but
you cannot? I thought it had something to do with the 3D engine they are using
indoors, but it apparently has not.
