Neighbour's site is apparently gone for good so I've changed a few
links on my MM9 site: http://www.kynosarges.de/MM9Hints.html

First, the most complete known bugs list I'm aware of is on Carg85's
site: http://www.xs4all.nl/~camilleb/MM9/index.html
(Bugs: http://www.xs4all.nl/~camilleb/MM9/MM9_bugs.htm)

Second, Neighbour had created a save game editor for MM9. It's gone
along with his site but I kept a local copy which I've now uploaded on
my own site: http://www.kynosarges.de/mm9editor.exe (443 KB)

That's the latest (and only) version available to me, v1.0.0.6b, and I
can't guarantee that it won't delete your hard disk or something...

If Neighbour or someone else involved with the creation of this editor
objects to my hosting this file, please e-mail me.

Great page and links, Christoph. Thanks!

You mention there that besides no obelisks,
>>> The traditional "Easter egg" appears to be missing as well. <<<

By this do you mean the bonus teleportation to NWC offices that was
available in MM6 (and I guess in the next two also, though I wasn't aware of
the one in 7 and probably haven't gotten far enough in 8 yet)?

Yes, there was one in each of MM6-8 but nobody found it in MM9 so I
guess it just wasn't there. Shame!

Dracon!!!! What ever happened to "user pays beta sux" and "Pathesda"?
You're going soft in your old age.

Really? Who would have thought that a Rolls could be so boring...

They aren't mutually exclusive, you know. I've just recently started playing
both. Morrowind is tremendously impressive, but that doesn't make MM9
"crap."

Though admittedly I've just begun MM9, I cannot understand the panning it's
gotten by many in the newsgroup and in online reviews. The graphics are
SUBSTANTIALLY better than in the previous Might and Magic games, and why
some users claim otherwise is a mystery to me. The new interface takes a
little getting used to after previous M&Ms but is really an improvement too.
I think the whole look of the game (not just the fully 3D graphics) is
better than what has gone before and shows that they put a lot of work and
devotion into the product. There do seem to be fewer but tougher critters,
not a bad thing either.

I may well change my mind about it after getting farther into it, but so far
I am happy with MM9.

It looks like Morrowind is getting a lot more flak in this newsgroup than MM9
ever did.

MM9 is following the traditions established by MM6-8. Each of those were
compared unfavorably with the preceding MM titles. And there are aspects of the
pre-MM6 game play and world that are missing from the 3DO era titles. And each
of the later titles have offered something new and differetn from the
precending title. But despite the differences, each of the MM games has proven
to be enjoyable to play. After all, aside from a few manageable bugs, the main
complain about the MM games is that they are not like some other favorite game.

Meanwhile, enjoy Morrowind. I may get around to it someday.

Chances are you'll be enforced in your impression. From what I heard
(haven't played it myself yet), it gets better as you move on.
