Arcanum - bessie toone and Gladys(minor spoilers)

Toone quest. I have the Toone shoe (no idea what it is for). But I can't get
any info from anybbody on this quest? Hints?
2. Gladys wants her ring back and it looks like they have a thing going on.
But neither Gladys, Archibald or the son will talk anymore. Hints?

If you talk to Bessie's son you get to know about his sister who live in
Dernholm, go there to talk to Bessie's daughter, she points you to who owns
the mine. If you are a good guy you bring it upon you to help the daughter.
Travel to tarant, get the deed to the mine, go back to Dernhom to give it to
the daughter. Btw: the shoe you can sell in Tarant to the dude in the
curiousity shop (or whatever it is), the one with the talking orc, 2headed
cow and whatever.
Fix this quest will make you somesort of a hero in S.Hills though :)

There is several ways to fix this. The easiest way is to pickpocket the ring
and give it back. The more complicated is to hitch up Gladys and Archibald,
something that require some high charisma and persuasion I think.

Or...you can simply hack Archibald apart and lie to Glady
