Whenever I enter the Toxic Caves, I am not immediately radiated. But
eventually I am. This is preventing me from wanting to complete this quest.
Is there any way to avoid getting radiated? I have the boots and they help
walking over the sludge, but for those of you who have completed this, what
did you do about the radiation?

There is also some Rad X in the locker near the first pools of goo in the locker
with the boots. Take that, and it will increase your radiation resistance.
Then, use the Rad Away when you leave the caves to reduce the amount of
radiation in your body.
