Diablo is on the way

The new announcement at www.blizzard.com in the battle.net Announcements
area says the Diablo has now, officially, been released to manufacturing.
Blizzard says to expect it on store shelves around Jan. 6th.

Just out of curiousity... why should this date be trusted any more than
September, November, then December...? Because it's actually physicall
going to shipping?

Well, the Blizzard rep actually announced that Diablo
went Gold and that it would be available around the 6th. This
is far different from Fall '97 which was the official Blizzard
date. All the other dates you have heard are from stores,
or people who think they know more than the rest of us.

Start looking this weekend!
