When playing a campaign, as the Germans (haven't tried another nation),
and the game has determined that a battle is to be fought, it doesn't
give me the opportunity to select standard or divsion mode, and yes
there is more than one division. Also I can't change the preferences.
According to the rules you should be allowed to do this;

Page 61 under campaign game;

"Battle Options

Once a battle is to be fought, you are presented with the option of
playing in Standard mode or Division Commander mode.You may also change
the preference items."

Well I don't get either of these options. Help!!!

I believe (could be wrong) the readme file indicates the manual is wrong, you
cannot choose.

You are absolutely right. Thanks a lot. Boy that's too bad, I hope
they'll change that back in a future patch.

I agree with the others who have answered; the settings are locked once
you start the campaign. I believe this was done to prevent people from
changing the options after discovering that an upcoming battle looked
bad (I know there have been a few times when I've wished I could turn
unlimited ammo on!)
