Hi,

i'm plannig to use at least two screen to play to FS2002.
Can anyone help me, wich video card should i choose to do that ?

does it reduce performances a lot ?

I wonder if there is a way to connect 3 screen at a time with only one
computer ???!!!
Is it possible ?

i'd like to display instruments on screen 1 (17"), moving map on
screen 2 (14") and front view on screen 3 (17")... damn that should be
great if possible.

thanks a lot for your help !!!

I use the Matrox Millennium G400 (dual Head) computer at the office, running
Windows NT4, SP6.
As soon as I get a chance, I want to load Windows 2K pro, and then try
FS2000 pro.
Two independent monitors have made my life much easier using any
applications that use lots of extra menus.
I drag my "work" image/document onto the left screen, and put all the extra
menus on the right monitor.
As a result, I have an effective work area of 2048 X 768 @ 85 Hz. It's
terrific.
Will let you know how this works in about a month (mid-march)... when I
switch to Windows2K... but it should work.
Has anyone tried this combo yet?

Michel

http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon has an excellent database of multi
monitor resources.

You can hook up as many as 8 monitors to one computer, providing you have
enough slots to add the additional video cards. If you plan on using extra
monitors for outside views, you are heading for problems. The main monitor
will be 3d, while any others are only going to run in 2d. Any external
views on additional monitors will drag your machine down to a crawl, and it
will look like a slide show. However, additional monitors work great for
things such as the gps, radio stack, throttle quad, fsmeteoe, and anything
you can "undock". I have been running dual monitors for about 3 years with
my Matrox G400 dual head card. It works really well. No noticeable
performance hit. I'm running two 19" monitors.

Hi...

Check out the following :- WidevieW is a Freeware utility for Microsoft®
Flight SimulatorT.

Can be used to create virtual cockpits with multiple monitor support, using
networked PCs.
There is virtually no limit on how many PCs can be linked together, and each
of them can be
configured to show a particular view, including outside views, maps,
instruments, and almost
anything.

Windws 98 and later systems have support for multiple monitors. You can
simply plug in a new video card into your system and the OS should recognize
it. They from the Display properties page you can set up your screen
layouts. I'll leave to other to suggest the best video card hardware.

Best course of action to determine compatible hardware; Microsoft.com

Find on Microsoft website which PCI or AGP video card hardware is 100%
compatible with your OS before purchase. Then.. there will be no need
to return items that "don't work".
