Yippee ki yay! I just made my first AA re-fueling with all realism factors
maxed. Okay, so I didn't get all that much fuel, but I DID connect! I
attribute this to the excellent control I now have with the Church Chips.
One thing I noticed in refueling, my rudder pedals seem to work opposite of
what I would expect. Maybe this is because I don't know what the hell I'm
doing with my new TM Elites. I'm used to using the gas-pedal-like basic CH
Pedals. With the Elites, when I move my right foot forward and my left foot
backward the F18 yaws left. Is this correct?

I seem to recall that in WW2 British and US A/C were configured
differently in this regard. The setup you describe is like steering a
billy-cart - push the right foot to turn left. I dunno which was
which.

ACK!!!!! No NO!..heh When you push the right rudder pedal it
displaces the rudder surface to the right thereby causing airloads to
push the tail of the aircraft to the LEFT..you see the nose move to
the RIGHT. Once again....push right rudder and the nose goes
right..get it? I think you got it backwards there Ambulater....or else
thats the strangest rudder set up I've ever heard of!

I don't know man... Sounds like you've got the pedals set up like a
wheel... Push the pedals "counterclockwise" and you go left.... "Clockwise"
goes right... Sound correct??

Right Foot Forward = Yaws Right = Points Nose Towards Right

opposite for left

You guys got it all wrong. You are not pushing right.. you are
PULLING left. The nose should turn left when you "push" right or
"pull" left.

Okay, I think I have it calibrated correctly then. In all my other sims
(such as LB2 & EAW) pushing the right pedal forwards yaws the plane to the
right. I appear to be getting the opposite effect in J F/A18. anyone else
seeing this or am I just on drugs?

No no no no, when you push right rudder the nose should go right. Push left
rudder and the nose should go left. J F-18 is "correct", so your
configuration is somehow messed up if you're seeing the opposite.

Either way, pull right or left or push right or left and you miss the toilet.
