Why? And who the hell are you anyway!?! ;)

Whats up Doug, still waiting for BoB from Oleg?
Hope all is well, i've been itching to fire up F4:AF for a while, just
never seem to actually do it.
Racing season is over now so lots more time.
Best to you and the Mrs..

OK the "who the hell are you anyway" thing was something I borrowed from
Gary Cooper. It seemed so appropriate ;-)
And hell yeah. Avatar is one of the old guard as well! I am sure there are
many I missed.
>Avatar speaks!
Yup, been known to happen once in awhile... ;)
>Whats up Doug, still waiting for BoB from Oleg?
Yes I am, though with all the mods for IL-2 the squad has been pretty
happy/busy.

Things have been good. I hear ya about firing up old games and such...
just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day any more...
>Racing season is over now so lots more time.
Yeah, I was thinking of you earlier in the season wondering how things
were with ya.
>Best to you and the Mrs..
Thanks mate, same to you and your family!

lol, and you used it so appropriately! It's fun to drop in and lurk
once in awhile. Ming/Peter is still floating about (mostly on SimHQ
that I've seen but I don't get out much these days... ) but will pop
in here and post if he sees some of the old crowd. Times change, huh?
:)
Yep, that's the old guard I remember.

Who could ever forget Meester Martinho and his beeeg stick
I've been around since the EF2000 era when the group was very active.
I was never a big contributor though.
> The dork that was a real pilot and never happy with any flight model?
He just wanted snap turns ...
We were spoilt for sims back then and web forums weren't as commonly
used as today. It's a real pity that USENET is in decline as it is so
convenient to read - unfortunately it's also easy for spammers and
other lowlifes to abuse (I used to participate in a robotics newsgroup
until an automated splorge launched from infected machines around the
world swamped it and everyone left - obviously some crazy had a bee in
his bonnet about something).
I now fly online with a virtual squad so I tend to hang out with them.
Still flying Black Shark while waiting for DCS A10. I wish that we had
a modern sim similar to EF2000 - online co-op, accessable, hi-tech
aircraft, dynamic campaign (although I'd like a mission creator/editor
as well). It'd bring new people to the genre and breathe fresh life
into it.
Yes he did!!! Very good. I forgot about that.

I ended up doing PS3 gaming with the latest Call of Duty. I still use my
flight-sim handle. Anyone remember what it was???

Cisko or "cisko [AT] ix [DOT] netcom [DOT] com"?
Yep I had that ISP many generations ago. But that was not my online
flightsim handle/call sign.

Hmmm, lawndart perhaps? I wasn't cool enough to have a nick back then.
Close enough :-)

I've been monitoring this NG since mid-90s?? Back in Dennis Newburry
(?) days, the original Flanker, Hornet, etc.. I think it must have
been Windows 95 days.

the windbag Stocky.

Obviously you were not one of us either or you would know what that
"special" handshake is instead of trying to make a mockery of us.
DUH.

Yep, and so are some of the mods at simhq. They are such redneck
rightwing gun toting twats that I can't help myself. ;)

Hi Greg, nice to see you are still around and not 6 feet under yet. I
wish PD would show up sometime so I can flame once again. :)
Have a good Xmas, you too Av.

S! sir, happy holidays to you and yours also.

Nope not yet! I am retiring my F22/TQS/RCS. Kind of sad. But I have
moved on to the PS3. TM has a cool HOTAS for that.

Last sim I played with Red Baron
But I played it like 2 days ago on DOSBox LOL

Well, it's ultra uncool now that you have shown up.

Wow, scharmers has really gone downhill if that is the best the fag can do.
Wow, scharmers has really gone downhill if that is the best the fag can do.
WOW! I'm only here because I d/l'd WOP and it locked up my rig. I
remember you folks. I think I was Onyer6 back then (or maybe an e-mail
address) and didn't post alot here. Followed the Scharmers, NOS,
Meester Martinho, etc. Was around b4 all that as well. I dabbled with
Aces High until they did away with free 8 player. Joined for a month
then quit. I visited a d'l sight and saw Wings Of Prey demo. Been
outta touch too long. Cheers everyone.
p.s. my first flt sim was sublogic's flt sim, then Chuch Yeager, Aces
over the pacific/Europe (where I could never generate enuff virtual
mem to get things to play well. I think it was 640K needed so we shut
everything off that was not essential to run the rig and still were
short). I think my first usenet post was in the early '90's to a
rec.audio &/or rec.boats usenet group. I'll be 117 yrs old next Feb. I
don't remember Ironman tho....
Gotta look at the email not the name. Who the hell are you anyway?
