I have Longbow two installed on a Windows 98 machine, have upgraded with th
2.09 patch, all video and sound card drivers are direct X5.
The joystick is a Thrustmaster FCS Top Gun, it works fine in the game but
for the POV switch, that doesn't work at all. It works fine in all other
games, but not in LB2. It works fine when I set it up in the control panel.
I have tried to add a custom joystick, but that doesn't work either.
Please has anyone got any ides.
Thanks
Shane
Janes has some notes about problems with WIN98 and Longbow2 joysticks. My
fix (for the MS sidewinder) was to use the sidewinder software and set my
hat switches to the keyboard commands for view. I do not know if the MS
software works with other sticks.
Please write if you want to know more.

It is great software to have. Just wish MS had not screwed this up in
Win98. Janes is blaming MS, but the Longbow hat system is to blame also.
Shane,
I have a Thrustmaster Mark II and I experience the same problems. I've even
reassigned the hat switch commands to the key board commands (as suggested
by others on this thread) with no success. Maybe it's just not possible.
