AITD I: After MNAR Talisman on Altar, what next?

in the watery crypt, where I have placed the MNAR-stone
talisman on the altar (instead of myself). Fireballs
have ceased and Green Monsters can't get me. Now what?
If I pick up the hook, I can trigger two secret doors,
and work my way back to the surface. But I still can't
leave the house via the front door. I've thrown lots
of weapons at the statue above the altar, including
the pot of soup,
What have I missed... (Please be subtle yet suggestive)

How about a forest fire?
But pick up the hook only when you really have to leave...

Make sure the lantern is lit & throw it at the tree to burn it to the
ground. Then you can go back to the surface & leave the house.
