With what do I scrape the mortar of the fireplace in the library and

OK, it's been a while since I've played Phantas, but I *think* (assuming
you've already tried the fire poker) this is what you need to do:

Go over to the desk in the same room. Open one of the drawers (I think it's
the top one). There will be a closed letter opener inside. Take it. Click
on the letter opener in your inventory, and then click on the "Item
Description" icon (the red & black circle that is NOT the hintkeeper). A 3D
model of the letter opener will appear.

If you click on the top of the letter opener, the blade will come out. If it
doesn't work, click other places until you find the right one (the blade DOES
come out). Once the blade is out, close the 3D model of the letter opener.
Walk over to the fire place, and use the open letter opener on the mortar.

After that, I believe you need to use the hammer on the bricks in order to
knock a hole in the wall. Now you should be able to go through.

Look closer at the figurine, it's actually a letter opener, perfect for
removing mortar!

yeah you need to get the cat to turn into a letter opener and then try
it on the morter.
