Ripper - Help in Catherine's Well

I am in Catherine's well and I have to defeat the ICE creature in order to

advance and find some goody or something. The arcade sequence is proving
difficult for me.

By the time I get killed, I notice that the ICE creature's health status
is
still almost 100 percent even though I have shot it about a bazillion
times.
I know that the left mouse button shoots and the right mouse button
utilizes
my shield, but after using the shield several times the power from it
quickly
vanishes.

Bottom line, how can I kill this damn ICE creature? Is there a special
place
to shoot it so that I can actually damage it and kill it?

try to find a part of the ICE that is more sensitive to your attacks.
