Ok, I'm really stuck. I'm in chapter 4 of GKII: The Beast Within. My
problem is that I can't complete whatever it is I'm supposed to do at the
Neuschwanstein castle. I've visited every room, listened to the damn tour
tape over and over, clicked on everything in sight, but it still isn't
satisfied!!!
Any suggestions?
There's a glitch in Chapter 4. Neuschwanstein will continue to flash on
the road map, even if you've finished it.
To advance in chapter 4, you need to visit both Neuschwanstein and the
Ludwig Museum. That will give you access to the Wagner Museum.

Don't worry about it too much. When I replayed GK2 recently
Neuschwanstein was still flashing just before I completed the chapter,
and I finished that game with full points! Just try to do your tasks in
the other locations and only go back there if you get stuck elsewhere.

Actually, I've tried to go on, but Gerde never tells me about the fax I'm
supposed to get about the Ludwig diary. The Herrencheimsee icon is *not*
flashing anymore, so I know it's not that. I've tried everything I can
think of at the Wagner museum as well. Here's what I've done at
Neuschwantstein:
* Entry Hall: listened to tour tape. Viewed all paintings. Clicked on the
tower door. Listened to the tour tape about the tower door.
* Bedroom: Tour tape. All paintings. Sink, then bed and tour tape on each.
Stove in corner.
* Chapel: Tour tape. Cross. Painting above cross and tour tape. Madonna.
Stained glass and tour tape.
* Living Room: Tour tape. Grail painting. Close up of chair. Clicked on linens.
* Back of Living Room: Tour tape. Clicked on swan.
* Grotto: Tour tape. Clicked on 'fountain'
* Office: Tour tape. All paintings. Desk. Clicked on bureau.
* Singers Hall: Tour tape. All paintings, including the back wall wolf
painting. Outside view w/tour tape.
Am I missing something here?

Some hints:
Take another look around the Schattenjager library ... there's a book there
you haven't seen before!
If you've read that book, have you tried calling the author?
Have you received a call back from your friend in the U.S.?
Have you been by the church (the *outside*) of the church recently?

Yeah.

Yep.

If you mean to get the lily, I've done it although I had to check a
cheat-sheet to figure it out. I put the lily in the water and Ludwig's
image appeared briefly.
I feel like I must have missed something obvious. If the flashing
Neuschwanstein doesn't mean anything, then maybe it was at the Wagner? Is
there anything tricky there I could have missed?

>>When you go into the Wagner Museum does Georg still want to talk? If he does then you missed something. If he says he doesn't have anything to say then the only reason it is still flashing is because you have to take him the fax once you get it. Did you see Ludwig's wife's diary on the desk next to Georg? Also, Did you write the letter to Gabriel and mail it at the post office? Did you ask Huber at the Gasthof to talk to the Smiths? I hope one of these suggestions is what you are looking for. Good luck!

In the nNeuschwanstein castle you need to click twice on the fountain,
or maybe its the sink..I dont remember. But you definitely need to
click twice on one of these for the chapter to end

When I played GK2, I had the same problem and just carried on.
Still finished on maximum points though! =3D)

There is a bug in the game that causes Neuschwanstein to be always
highlighted on Day 4. As Ray said, it does not cause any problems with the
game.
