I know that I'm supposed to click left and right to get the stewpot to tip
over. I've clicked until my hand is sore. I read that I should click on
the left, until the pot reaches it's highest point and then click on the
right. This is impossible, as that happens in less than the blink of a
eye! Could it be my computer is too fast? I have a Pentium 200/32megs of
ram. Could it make the animation run too fast for me to react? I had a
real problem at Whackmee winning the first prize on the list too, because
I couldn't stop it in time. Can't tell you how many times I got bonked on
the head. <g>

Is there a particular hotspot that works better than others? Or could
someone out there have possibly found a "hot-key" combo that will help me
"cheat" my way past this? I had to find that very thing in order to get
by the rats in the cellar in 9. Those who played that will KNOW what I
mean.....

Thanks in advance, Naomi Sullivan

I found if I kept the cursor centered in the pot between Drew and Flux then clicked rapidly as I moved the
mouse left and right that the pot eventually capsized. I have done this several times successfully. Keep at
it, don't get discouraged it really isn't that difficult once you get the hang of it.

Actually, this is a possibility. I've had email from someone who was
finding a later puzzle to be too difficult because the computer was too
fast. Have you tried (can you try) turning off the computer turbo
button? I've had to do that for a few very old games for this computer.

It sounds like you'll either need that or to find a way to slow down
your computer with software.

No, speed is not the issue here. I had the same trouble on my P166 mHz machine. Forget about clicking on
the pot at its highest point. I was having all sorts of trouble following that advice. Here's how I did it.
I tried this method every time and it hasn't failed me yet. Keep the cursor centered in the pot between Drew
and Flux and then click rapidly as you move the mouse side to side. This will get the pot to sway back and
forth and eventually tip over. Don't give up, have a little patience.

Well, these new machines don't have a turbo button to slow them down.

As it turns out, speed IS the issue here. I decided to install the game
on my old 486/66, where it runs like a dog, but works. Transfered the
saved game over to it and brought it up. Guess what? I had NO problem
tipping over the pot, once it was slowed down enough for me to judge it.
After suceeding, I simply transfered the 'new' saved game back over to my
new computer and continued on my way. But, being the cautious type, I am
leaving it on my old computer in case I need to do anything similar before
the game ends.

Guess this is one instance where newer and faster, isn't neccessarily
better.

Thanks to those who tried to help, Naomi

I have a fast machine also and am not good at twich games.
I got by this mess by putting the mouse at the center of
th stew pot and moving it slightly back and forth a fast
as I could. It took a couple of tries but was less of a proble than
flushing the fish.

I have a P166 & found that instead of fast clicking to make it rock
rapidly, I slowed to a steady back & forth like a rocking chair. It
tipped right over.

I'll help you with that. You need something that's the opposite of
Heart? Now what would that be? I'll give you a hint: the word can mean a
part of a shoe. Have you been fish-flushing yet? Still can't figure out
the answer? Look below.

You need a soul. Of course, there's no way to collect a "soul". And no,
you can't get the "sole" from a shoe. There's only one other sole in the
game: The winning fish in the Fish-Flushing game. Go to the game
(located by Jim's Gym) and put your herring in the toilet. You'll have
to unplug the toilet with your plunger first. Once the fish are zooming
through the pipes, watch for the sole, and listen to what sound it
makes. The next time you hear the same sound, immediatly "Use" the
toilet. If you can't tell which one is a sole, just read the toilet
paper beside the toilet.
