Discworld 2 help needed

I can't seem to finish Discworld 2. Do not direct me to a walkthrough, it
looks more like a bug. I have reached Act IV and the Fountain of Youth has
appeared on the map. However, I can't go there because Rincewind says
"I can't just walk through the sand." However, I still have the camel. When I
go to Djelibeybe and when I leave, Rincewind does take the camel with him.
When the screen changes to the map, however, the camel is gone. I can't buy a
new camel either, because I already have one. Any ideas?

Yes, this is a bug. Go to http://www.lspace.org/games/discworld , look in the
files section and download the latest patch.
