Grafix card is S3 svga virge with 2mb. with s3 trio internal 24 bit dac, s3
trio internal clock and a linear buffer.
Whatever all that means.
When I install TR2 it sets up the computer for accelerator hardware, primary
driver and 640x480 display, and when I check the configuration it passes.
Then when I play the game there is no colour on Lara and half the background
is missing and the game has a habit of crashing.
The game plays OK in 256 colour renderer but it is a bit jerkey and looks
shit compared to the 3D acceleration from what I can see.
PLEASE HELP!
Surely my computer should be able to handle it

Thanks!!!!!
There's your problem right there...
Seriously, try getting some new drivers for the card and check eidos web
site for any infor regarding incompatibility with your card.

Really what that means is just that you have a piece of shit video card. The
S3 Virge is a pathetic excuse for a 3D accellerator. If you want to get a
cheap and adequate Direct3D card, get that Matrox M3D thing... it's supposed
to be okay.
If you want a really good card, you can't go wrong with any of the
3Dfx-based boards out there.
Have a nice day!
