Stuck in Carmen Diego

I recently install "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" and I keep going
around in circles in Mombasa. I feed the travel guide and he takes me to Fort
Jesus and I do everything to do there and I ask the chief for help and she
keeps telling me to see the travel guide which takes me back to the same place.
What do I do next?

If you haven't completed Mombassa already. Here are some items you must
get. In Brazil talk to man in book store. Go to Cuba, get the
analyzer, go back to book store and talk to man again. Analyze the book
and you will get part of a puzzle. Also in Japan where tree is after
the you do the puzzle with the lady - look at tree again and you will
get a message that wasn't there before. Look a store with swords and
notice a little round thing upper left corner take it.

Than in Mombassa, make sure you look at travel poster and find little
white paper sticking out of left side. This will be the second part of
the puzzle for Fort Jesus. Complete puzzle and off you go.
