A long shot, but can anyone help me past what I believe to be a bug in
The Pandora Directive? I'm partway through Day 9, and one of the key
items I need (and used to have) is no longer in my inventory (namely,
the matchbox). What I *have* got is a spurious object from earlier in
the game (a partially constructed acetylene torch). Having slogged
through the game for as far as I have, I'd like to finish the darn
game - anything welcomed.

It doesn't sound too good. You find the matches at Roswell and you use them
there when you have to dynamite a door open. But you do need them again at
the Mayan Temple (day 9). Could you go back to an earlier save?

BTW there is a very good walkthrough for the game at
http://www.gamesdomain.com/walkthru/pandora/Pdwt.html which explains how the
get the different paths through the game and the different endings. This is
certainly worth a look at after you finish the game.

Unfortunately not. And as you point out, I've already picked up, and
used, the matchbox; I simply no longer have it (and my inventory is
clearly slightly damaged). Right now I'm in the wasp room in the
mayan temple, and need the matches to avoid getting killed...

Yes, I've seen it - the problem is, unless I finish the game at least
once, I don't really have an incentive to go back and try again simply
to see the alternative endings...

Thanks anyway.

Ok, the situation is bad.
There are two game positions that have a matchbox
1} Dag Hortons office
2) Roswell Security
