Thanks to anyone who will be willing to help me
PS: I have a PC
Nelson
I'm also playing PoP right now but unfortunately I can't help you
because I'm not at that point yet.
But you may have better results with your question by posting it to
the action group instead (I don't think many here consider it an
adventure type of game).

It has been a long time since I was at that part. I'm currently "stuck" in
the tower elevator in one of the later parts of the game (ca. 90%) where
you have to fend off a lot of steadily re-incarnating baddies. I hate this.
I hate this so much that I currently can't be bothered to play the game.
Oh, and I admit I haven't mastered the rebound-from-wall attack which
supposedly should work pretty well against the kind of enemies I'm up
against.
Anyway ...
<SPOILER ALERT !!!>
I'm guessing now where you are: the room is circular with two doors. The
bottom of the room is a pit with sharp pikes. I'm arbitrarily introducing
compass directions now. You enter from the south, the exit is to the east,
one switch to the north and one to the west.
One switch will open the door and the other the gate if I remember
correctly.
You jump onto the rope and start swinging northward. Release, hit the switch
in flight and jump from the wall immediately back to the rope. Start
swinging westward. Release, hit the switch in flight and jump from the wall
immediately back to the rope. Continue swinging - the direction is now
towards the exit - and jump immediately. Hit the floor running and you
should make it through the door before it closes.
The trick is to get the timing of your jumps right in order to keep your
momentum and actually hit the switches. If you miss or have to start
swinging again, the door will close before you can make it.
Hope it helps!
