Walkthroughs and UHS tell me that taking the two pieces of the Snavig
scroll through the mirror enables one to assemble them. But whenever
they're both in the same room, they point in incompatible directions -
it's only when they're on different sides of the mirror that they might
join, and then I can't. What to do?

Well, I've got them lined up - ooh, sneaky :-). But they still won't
fasten together. Now what? Spellotape? :-)

Ah, that's got it. Thanks for all your help, guys. ;-)

What an excellent game? I love to replay that one. It is fun to revisit
those very awe inducing scenes...especially the walking castle!

This is still my first run-through. I got it as a present a few years
back, from someone who saw what was probably the very last copy of it on
sale in his entire city, thanks to its hiding surreptitiously in a
university bookshop. And then I didn't play much of it before I was
diverted into other pursuits. But my daughters are nagging me to finish
it now. :-)

I've seen him out the window, but we haven't become more closely
acquainted yet. I gather it's necessary to purchase something at GUE
Tech to assist in this aim, so off I go... :-)

There is nothing like your first time playing that game! Sure, there are
more graphical and complex games out there but this game just "took me away"
to Zork like no other game has ever done.
