Grin Fandango: Why won't Carla strip search me!!??

this for two days. On day two, I drink the gold liquor (I can only take
one slug and have to put it away and take it out again to get a second
one), but when Carla runs the metal detector on me, she doesn't take me
in the back room to strip search. I checked a walkthrough to see what I
may have missed, but I don't see what that could be.
Anyone have any ideas!?

If you want a strip search, you should be playing Leisure Suit Larry
instead...
Once you get back there, they just talk for a while. There's only one thing
you can get Carla to do (and it should be obvious how to do it), and once
she does it, she won't flirt with you anymore. Unless it's some kind of
Easter Egg, there's no way to get her to strip-search you...
Unless you're asking some other question. Make sure Manny doesn't belch too
soon, or the gold will be out of his system. Just drink and walk straight
into the detector; don't bother putting the bottle away, or you'll run out
of time. You only need one drink.

Try taking another drink. If I remember correctly, Manny says
something like "that ought to do it" or something like that so you
know that you will set the detector off and get the hand held detector
to go off. Also, have you met the mortician yet? Since he is the one
who needs the detector, you may have to see him to trigger the correct
reaction.
