Perhaps my memory is slipping already, but aren't the tears collected
with the lamp (yes, the original lamp--not a teapot) while the babies
are crying? Then, I believe, the sacred water is added. Then the
falling water. Right?

Yeah, the "teapot" is in fact the hunter's lamp.
They called it a makeshift lamp and teapot in the hint book.

Well, I kept picking up the lamp then trying to pick up the vial, you
have to do it the other way around. I am now past all that and have
given Cassima the Dagger.

Ok, the only problem is that I've already traded the teapot away for the
lamp. I gather this means a restore. Not very well planned there Sierra.
