Seeing your message reminded me - I don't know how many hours I spent on
every combination of these stones. Often I couldn't figure the thing out
and would try every combination. Eventually, I would be successful, but it
took plenty patience. It was worth it though, for it was a great game and
remains one of my faves which I drag out every once in a while and play
again. It never goes out of style and never loses its appeal to me. I;'ve
played every path but liked Sophia and Indy the best. Keep trying you will
get the stones right eventually. The only thing that really bothered me
about that game was there were so many stones to configure. I think a few
less stones would have been better.

There is a bug on some versions in which the Dialogue clues and the
Moonstone postions don't match. Try spinning them all around 180 degrees
and see if that works, if not click frantically until sheer random luck
matches them.

I agree completely with Mary. I do the same thing and did the same thing with
those stones.. I remember doing all the combinations. It became a royal pain
when you got the world stone.

Thanks to everyone who replied!

However, I actually worked out how to solve the stones puzzle pretty
soon after posting the message... :)

I just (stupidly) assumed that I would have to allign the symbols at the
*top* of the screen. I never even considered that I might have to allign
them on the left, bottom, or right...Anyway, there's no bug. I've now
been playing most of today, I think I'm getting near to the end of the
game. I solved some more stone puzzles, and they all make sense, once
you start thinking in a certain way...Hmm...

Thanks again,

-Sam

It's funny but most of the time when we have tried and tried to solve
something, but have not been successful, we think there must be a bug in
the game. But most of the time, there isn't - we've just forgotten to do
something or we are not figuring things out right - I don't know how many
times I've said "I have been stuck for ages at this part -I think its
unsolvable - must be a bug in the game or the CD is defective" -:) I
think we have all said this at one time or another.

:) I know...

Actually, I don't *usually* assume there's a bug in the game. It's just
that the last adventure I was playing was Lure Of The Temptress, which
definitely had a bug (no, really! :) , meaning that I couldn't complete
it :(

Really? Was it by any chance the anti-crack one that removes a vital object
if it thinks you've bypassed the copy-protection system? Just a
thought....:-)

Yes Sam, that can happen, but it seems to me, that most of the time it is
not a bug, but we think it is -:)
my computer gaming friends say the same thing.
