I've done just about everything possible in this level... but I can't
figure out what they mean by "judging" the skulls in the Hall of
Respite. What the hell?! ARGH. Any help is appreciated. (I imagine
once you find the skull, you put it on the headless statue? And I hope
this in turn leads to the feather, which leads to lowering the Bridge of
Life... if not, could someone also tell me what I need to do to lower
the bridge?)

As an aside, I think this game is awesome, but I also understand why
loyal King's Quest fans are upset over the dramatic turn in direction
Mask of Eternity takes the series. Personally, I think Sierra should
have released this game as the beginning of another series, but instead
they seem to have decided to use the King's Quest name to kick this one
out the door. I'd actually like to see more of both types of games;
it's too bad Sierra seems to be choosing one over the other.

Thanks,
Jas

Yep, you take one of the skulls and put it on the headless statue in the
hall of war(make sure you've installed the patch though, it'll lock up yer
computer if you haven't)...btw, the right skull is on the bottom row, 7th
from the left(thats on the left set of skulls).....you will then get the
featther which allows you to heal the sacred heard....but to lower the
bridge you just need to throw Azriels hammer at the lever on the other side
of the bridge....(the skull quest is not actually needed to complete the
level....

Well I should have known better than to trust Sierra. I have been waiting
for this game ever since I heard it was coming out. Let me just say one
thing "crap". I am very disappointed in the clumsy interface for one. I
think the graphics are archaic. I really love the way it keeps crashing on
me and taking me back to my desktop without even asking. I am playing on a
PII 333 with 64 ram, I also have all the extra lighting goodies off, so I
more than meet the requirements. I'll try to struggle through it cause I
have to waste the $$, but I'm not having a good time. I was going to get
"Back to Krondor" when I finished this one now I'm very leery.. Lets hope
this is the end of this series of KQ, I think Sierra needs a fine tune job..

If you spent more time playing the game and less time posting the same
message over and over, you might get better at using the interface....

Are there any clues as to which skull is the correct one? I don't
remember any, but it just seemed ludicrous to me to go back and forth
between those two rooms for a possible 60 times! Maybe I just don't
remember, but I could swear there wasn't any info on those stupid
skulls.

Actually, if you talk to the boat skeleton guy, he hints that the
correct skull is on the left... uh, don't quite remember, but it was
like, creation down and creation right or something... implying 7 down
and 7 to the right since 7 is the number of creation. PITA to figure
out... I only realized it after reading which skull was the right one.

The puzzle was Down cretion plus completion equals all things. On a pillar you see
3 is the number of creation. And another pillar says 7 is the number of
completion. 3 down 7 right. :) What a killer riddle

OF course there is a clue!!!!

Remeber Charon saying 'down creation plus completion...'?
Didn't you read somewhere in the Dimension of Death that 3
is the number of creation and 7 the
number of completion?
