We are stuck. Please help, how do you revive the bonding plant and where
do you go to do this? Also, how do you get the waif to go back to school
(or is this not important)? Where and how do we capture the vulture? We
know that we have to use the meat and the whistle but where is the "duck"?
All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Good luck in your own adventures! Love Rachael ;-)

Waif help: See if there is something that a child (old or young)
might like. Examine all your items.

Good luck!

I seem to be a little stuck at the Muses.
I can't seem to find the item for the second muse,
my guess is that it's the talon, but it's kind of all tied up
and not reachable from this side of the river,
is it another item, or is there some way to untie the talon without
destroying my way across the river

For all who helped out on the talon question, thanks a lot.

Unfortunately I have another question: well a question and a half.
How do you get the bats from the Witch? I thought it had something to do with
her gardening statement, but I have had no luck on that front.

The other question is: are items supposed to disappear from my inventory (not
the bottle/scroll)? Some how I've lost a rag and a book out of my inventory.
I'm wondering if this was supposed to happen, or if I may have to restart if
I can't find them?

It doesn't make a lot of sense, but if you visit her a second time and
talk to her again (showing her pictures and such) she'll give you the bats,
even though the same actions the first time around didn't do any good.

No, things aren't supposed to disappear. Either you restored to a saved
position prior to your finding them, or you accidentally dropped them somewhere.
Look for the items in the lower right corner of your screen as you move
around (that's where dropped items go), or look for a 2x3 rectangle of six
little grey squares (it looks like your unused inventory space), which is
what two or more items dropped in one spot looks like.

If you've won the contest at the comedy club, you don't need it anymore,
so don't worry about it. If you want to anyway, there's an entry in
the Mayor's filing cabinet on bonding plants that will (somewhat
obliquely) tell you under what conditions it will bloom again -- by
"bloom" it means regrow at the original location, not revive the one
you're carrying.

>Also, how do you get the waif to go back to school (or is this not important)?

You don't, although I admit that the things they say sure sound like
you need to do so.

>Where and how do we capture the vulture?
>We know that we have to use the meat and the whistle but where is the "duck"?

You'll know the duck when you see it. Keep exploring and solving other
puzzles, and you'll find the duck eventually. If you have the milk
and the token, you have everything you need to get to where the duck is,
even if you've solved nothing else, so make sure you explore around and
into every part of the landscape. Also, a hint which will mean nothing
to you until the time comes: *show* the token, don't *give* the token.
And near the duck is where you'll find the item you need to capture the
vulture after it's called by the whistle. Finally, it's not terribly
obvious, but after you capture a vulture, all you need to do to take
another ride is view a spot on your map and click on it -- in fact,
your whistle goes away, so this is the only way to travel after the
first Pet Vulture Rapid Transit ride.

The meat and the whistle are both vulture-related, but not simultaneously
and not for the same purpose.

Okay, I will.

Help needed early in game.

How do you get out of West Shambar? Do you need to get out

If you have the 1.1 patch installed, you only need visit her once. First show
her the milk or picture of the cow. She will give you permission to take the
bats. Next, give here the letter, she will give you the stick and leave to see
Ben.

If you use the rag to wipe the rusty metal thing, the rag disappears. As far
as the book, perhaps you gave it to someone (rather than just show it) to
translate the jokes, and forgot to get it back.

There IS one incidence where your items will disappear.
If you TAKE the box of bras without asking the scared farmer
inside the house, a guy appears and tells you that you and he are
at cross purposes. Then he takes all your stuff.

If you go back and talk to Ms. Peepers and then talk to Rebecca, she
just might remember the language and be able to read the forth joke--or
Canuk can do it.

I can't milk the cow again. I've fed it the carrots but it keeps kicking me.
Please help. Thanks.--
