I have no clue what puzzle to tackle next. Please help if you can.

For starters, how do I get the crypt key? I don't know how to keep Stan in the
coffin.

Well, you need to get some nails to keep Stan in the coffin. To do this,
you must make sure that the carpenter is occupied doing something else.
For this, you must get a saw and cut off the peg-legged pirate (by the
laudramat) peg leg.

nail the coffin (how to get nails and a hammer you should find out yourself)
