Kylearan's Tower ?!? It's been some years, but let's see....
Enter the Castle. On the topmost level, where the 4*99 guards are (see
below), there's a statue of the mad god. If you possess the Eye (from the
Tombs, I think), hold it aloft before it. The statue will animate and trans-
port you to the entry of Kylearan's tower (the tower itself, not the dungeon).
Make sure you enter the dungeon (though you might like to rest a little) and
don't leave the court - it's a one-way gate. Try to complete it in one run -
otherwise, you'll have to re-get the eye and re-enter the castle...
Oh, and did you ever wear the green guard's robes when entering the room
with the 4*99 guards ? No ? Do it, and you might be surprised...

Well, actually, if your character's a powerful enough, take a quick
trip into Mangar's Tower. There is a guy in there who will "sell" you a
"Master Key" With it, you can go through the gates around Kylearan's Tower.

What? And give up all that experience? They aren't anything that 3
MIBL won't take care of. :)

Right, Cliff... I couldn't agree more. I found it quite interesting to note
that they were fooled that easy (and that the game "recognized" the robes I
wore), though... Actually, I wore them only twice - once to test whether they
held any deeper meaning, and the other time when most of my party was more than
halfway dead already....

What do you mean "(the tower itself not the dungeon) Make sure you enter
the dungeon."? I've been to the tower before but don't remember a dungeon
there.
Also, does anyone know the answer to the question in the tower? I have
tried tons of answers! Nothing worked.
Furthurmore, where is the green guard? I don't remember ever seing one?
(possibly because I've never been in Mangar's tower?)
Also, (I'm full of questions) can anyone tell me where to get diamond plate
mail and other diamond stuff?
I figured that if I answered the question in Kylearan's tower correctly, I
would be transported to Mangar's. Is that right or is there another way
into Mangar's? I read the post about getting there from the catacombs.
Does this mean that I should map out level 4?
Thanks for your time.

He means that you get transported to the area outside the Tower,
rather than into the Tower.
>Also, does anyone know the answer to the question in the tower? I have

Which question? As it has been several since most of have played it,
a refresher is in order.
>Furthurmore, where is the green guard? I don't remember ever seing one?
>(possibly because I've never been in Mangar's tower?)
The guards you get the Green Robes are somewhere on the first level
of the Castle. You have to have an empty space in every character for each
of them to get the robes. But as I said, why bother, the 396 guards are fun
to take care and give you a ton of experience points.
>Also, (I'm full of questions) can anyone tell me where to get diamond plate

These items aren't "anywhere." In other words, we can't answer
that. When you finally take on Mangar's Tower, someone might drop them, but
that's the best we can do.

Again with the question...which question? But the answer is no. The
alternate method to getting to Mangar's Tower is through the Sewers (the
first dungeon).

Could you remind me what exactly the question was ... ? My maps are at home,
and I really don't have THAT good a memory (it's been 3 years now...)
> Furthurmore, where is the green guard? I don't remember ever seing one?

No, it's in the castle. As far as I can recall, you enter a room where you're
attacked by some (a few !) guards, whose only treasure are some robes (I think
they are green, but might be mistaken). In the lowest level, you're attacked
by 4 times 99 guards. BUT - if you wear the robes, they think you're one of
them, and will not even appear (useful if you're badly weakened already).

Oops... sorry. I just found it on my way. However, as far as I can recall,
the more difficult the dungeon, the better the items you may find (OK, so you
can also find torches everywhere, but you won't get a diamond plate in the
Sewers !).

Argh... I'll be back tomorrow with my maps !
Anyway, I _think_ (!) that you'll meet Kylearan himself after the question (and
after the tower has been finished). Somewhere along the way you're either
offered to buy or given a Key (either the Master Key or the Onyx Key or some-
thing like that). You'll know it when you get there. GET IT !
With it, you may open the (locked) doors of Mangar's Tower. You get there by
either a long winding stairway on the bottom level of the Sewers (or was it
Catacombs ?) which leaves you in front of the Tower (see Kylearan's Tower), OR
by unlocking the gates (using the Master Key). I don't think that you're
transported to the Tower directly.
And, as always, mapping is always good for you - you get good maps (hopefully)
and are more likely to be attacked (IMO), which gives EXP...

Don't mention it - that's what this newsgroup is made for, isn't it ?

PS If there are some questions left, I'd prefer direct EMail at the address
given above, if possible. That makes it MUCH more likely I'll get to see it
and answer it...

Do you mean "Name the one of cold, foretold twofold" ? It's answer is
"Stone Golem".
Kylearan will greet you and give you the Onyx Key you need to open Mangar's
Tower.
Slight error correction : The Master Key can be bought in Mangar's Tower,
Level 3, at 12 north, and 19 east.
The entrance to Mangar's Tower's court is in the Sewers, level 4 (count the
Wine Cellar as level 1), at 16 north and 17 east of the entrance.
As before, if any questions remain, please feel free to mail me or post here.

When not being able to answer a question in that game, I resorted to using a
file editor to find the answer. I only had to do it once or twice when I was
stuck on a problem for about a week (and I didn't have internet access back
then, so I couldn't ask you kind folk for the answer).
It shouldn't be all that hard to find the answer. I think it would be in the
.exe file.
