I am Robert Perrett. I have made my big comeback again. I remember all those
people who missed me. All will be explain in this posting.
I like to thank people who helped me:
Trina Borras: She is so nice and understanding.
Spaceboy: We have one thing in common. We love the Last Express.
Noman: Noman, I know you are there. I am sorry I called you Norman when you
called me a Troll
Nobody: I think they are two of you. I am sorry about Myst.
Quandary: I love your reviews.
Gamesdomain and Barak Engel: I love your writting. If it weren't for you Barak
I wouldn't have found the Last Express.
Just Adventure: I like JA in the way how they aproach things. They are
diffrent from most magazines because they are only Adventure games.
Philip Jong: I finally wrote my review about Laura Bow and the Dagger of Amon
Ra. I have to say. That Adventure Web-site is a great idea. If it weren't for
his site. I would never have boughten Under a Killing Moon and the Pandora
directive. Those are exellent games.
Beelzbutte: I am sorry. I lied. I am Robert Perrett. I don't know how you
figured who I was unless somebody told you.
Joonas Linkola: Yes, I have to admitt. I am a Lucasfans Maniac. I love their
games. They are my favorite company. Monkey Island 3 was such a treat. The
funniest part of Monkey Island is the lacktoast in tolerant Volcano God. I
love all the Laughs. Thank you for sharing me that humor.
I hope I didn't forget anybody. If I did. Tell me, please do.
Sierra: You were once a great company. You fell and fell very bad with King's
Quest 8. Your games broke new ground. Females characters that are not like
Lara Croft. Sex may be selling wasn't your goal. You made great games. I hope
that your Next game will be better.
Lucasarts: My favorite company. You produce the best games. You keep getting
better and better. Yet, I worried that you will fall. You will fall a deep
fall. Of course, you may not. I hope you produce the best Quality games
always.
Access Software: Many here don't like you. Golly, I am sounding like a
Roleplayer. Anyway, I love your games. I hope they will never be buggy. I know
you wanted the money that Intel offer you. It was a smart move because Tex
Murphy will be known by more people. Companies like yourself can fall. Making
Mistakes happens to the Best of us.
Presto Studios: I have never seem you here in this Newsgroup. Anyway, You make
some good Adventure games. Nice Graphics. In the Next Jorneyman Project, Make
sure they is a map option. It gets borring trying to travel and you add
features to make you go faster in Legacy of time. It was a Waste. You should a
spend your time. Add a map to go place to place. The Interface in legacy of
time is far much easier than the other games. It should be addapt in other
games. 3D games are coming. So I suggest in dumping 360 panning get with the
Next Generation games.
I wrote anything I wanted to. I am glad I got that out in the open.

How are you? In Greece, Are Adventure games made in Greece? Adventure games
feel dead, cliche and just stale.

I'm fine, thank you.
In Greece, Are Adventure games made in Greece?
Nope... There are only a few software companies in Greece, and only one
produces games, but no adventures. However, there are a lot of Greeks
who work at US companies, for example Steve Stamatiadis was the
programmer of Flight of the amazon queen.

That's so sad. I wanted an adventure game with Greek Mythology. I pretty sure
you are proud of your Mythology. How did you learn English? Is English hard?
Greek Surnames are long compared to English ones.

That's right... I'm more proud of our history, though. Try "Indiana
Jones and the fate of Atlantis", "Chronoquest II", "Loom", "Atlantis:
The lost tales", "Labyrinth of Crete", am I forgetting something? And
take my advice and never watch Hercules or Xena on the TV... They're
practically raping us.

I already answered that to your alter ego... English is one of the
easiest languages in the world.

I tried Indiana and the fate Atlantis. I also tried loom. Legacy of Time has
Greek Mythology. Hercules and Xena are offending. I don't like that show.

Really? I played that game for a while, but I had to return the disks to
the friend that lent them to me. I didn't notice anything about Greek
mythology, unless you consider Atlantis a Greek colony (it was never
proven).

I don't know. Legacy of Time consider Atlantis a Greek colony. Alkis, maybe
you are a descandent of an Atlantian King. Imagine a Adventure game that was
abouit that.
Also Questions to ask, Didn't the Romans took over Greece? Did many Romans
move to Greece? I heard that that Latin could of Surplanted Greek.
History is so cool. It makes for a really good Adventure game.
Especially, The Last Express or the Pandora Directive.

The Romans took over Greece on 146 ac. We became free again somewhere
around 3rd century, I think (Greek history is much harder and larger
than the American one, so I can't remember all the details..). But they
didn't influence our customs or our language. Greece is like Israel;
we've never tried to invade any country, (well, expect Alexander the
Great, but that's a whole different story) but everyone tried to destroy
us. However, we're still here...

Do you really think so? I think history is, more often than not, boring.
That's why game designers have to make too many changes in order to keep
it interesting, and the results are fiction stories that confuse people.
Most people don't know anything about my country's history, and the
worst thing is that they are sure they do! I'm sure that the same thing
goes for me too, when it comes to history of Japan or Egypt, since
everything I know comes from movies and games...
> :o) How about the reincarnation of an Atlantian king?
I doubt that. Isn't recarnation a Sanskrit belive or Hindu?

Didn't Greek borrowed some latin words? The Romans could of impossed Latin on
Greece. They didn't. They love Greek. The Romance tongues still are spoken.
Didn't the Romans intermarried with the Greeks? Greece is like Israel. That's
true. Yet, They is only one descandent of Greek and at least 9 of the Romance
langauges. If it weren't for the Greeks. They be no Rome or no Roman and/or
Cyrillic Alphabet.

Yes, TLE and TPD really add a lot to make the history interesting. The
Rosswell case in TPD is either real or not if you want to belive in UFO's.
TLE dealed with World War 1. It was so good. The plot was very interesting. I
liked the history. I am a history buff. I don't think any history is boring.
I know lots about Greece. Give me some Questions.

Ok... I always wanted to know what other countries know and think about
Alexander the great.
> Hindu.
Alexander invaded India. What language is Greek related to?
> Not really.
Doesn't Greek borrow words from other languages? Every language borrows some
borrow more or less than others. English borrows lots of words. Never spells
them diffrenly because of it's corrupt Orthography.
> What's TPD?
The Pandora Directive. That was a great game. It is so hard when you get to
the end of the game. I needed hints. The Beginging is easy. It is easy to get
progress in the begining. It was a great game.
> Ok... I always wanted to know what other countries know and think about

The Persians didn't like him. Zorzandian religion was banned by Alexander. He
got rid of the Persian empire so quickly. The Egyptians love him because he
got conquer Persia. Which ruled Egypt. Alexander wanted to conquer Roman and
China. he never did. He took over Uzbekstan. People spoke Greek there. He was
shocked. How did they got there. Those Greek speakers betrayal Greece. I
heard about this on Televison. I am sure if I remembering well about this.
His empire fell apart after he died. It spread Greek culture.

Wow, The Greeks have given all these words. Nice, then no wonder why Spanish
has so many Greek words. Pharmacy is Farmacia in Spanish. Mathematics is
Matematicas. The letter z in Spanish is called Ceta. I am learning Spanish. I
hope my grammar isn't bad in my second language. Spanish spelling is much
easier than English spelling. I make very few mistakes in Spanish spelling.

The Pandora directive is much better than Under a killing moon.

I think it's mildly interesting that there's a Greek tie-in here. Ulysses,
in The Odyssey, ultimately tricks the Cyclops by claiming that his name is
"Noman."
"Cyclops, this is wine; taste and drink after thy meal of men's flesh."
He took and drank it, and was hugely delighted with it, and called for more.
Ulysses supplied him once again, which pleased the giant so much that he
promised him as a favour that he should be the last of the party devoured.
He asked his name, to which Ulysses replied, "My name is Noman."
Ulysses and his crew poke the dude's eye out, whereupon the Cyclops
yells for help to his fellows...."O friends, I die, and Noman gives the
blow."
They answered, "If no man hurts thee it is the stroke of Jove, and thou
must bear it."
Now.....if Noman would just delete Robert Perrett.

Oh, ok I get it. I wasn't aware that the word was Noman in the English
translation. The exact English translation of the word that Homer used
is "nobody".
Where do you buy your games in Greece? I am pretty sure games in other
contries besides America cost much more than games in America. I can get my
games cheap. That depends if I wait until the price goes down.
Anyway,

I used to think so too... But I found out that the prices are more or
less the same. You can buy new games in stores for appx. $35-$45. Of
course the average American earns more money than the average Greek, so
it's not exactly the same. Internet is much more expensive in
Greece, though. I pay appx. $80/month for my internet connection.
Cool, let's be pals.
