Help!!
I'm stuck in the last puzzle of the game ( I suppose...), where Max has to
navigate a chessboard full of black goo while his "dark double" blocks his
way.
I shall assume that the goal of the puzzle is to get the 3 orbs from the
statues, but whenever I manage to reach one I can't either touch or pick the
globe. Does it have to be done in a certain sequence? Do I have to get the
lighted orb first? Do I have to beat Max's shadow to it?
Thanks in advance to whomever will help me!

I'm a living testament to that. I only vaguely remember the puzzle but
I think there are only a limited number of combinations and I was able
to do it relatively easily just having a hit and miss approach, in fact
my hard drive was in such bad shape at the time that I couldn't load or
save games and I was playing it for the long haul and it kept going and
going and going and going and it was really late, like the next week,
and I was slumping over, delusional, the works, and I still was able to
do the puzzle without having to exit the program (which would have
meant my death).

Thank you...it worked!
:-)
part of the problem was that movement is a real pain in this game ( which is
however excellent under any other aspect ) and I was really having a hard
time directing Max where I wanted him to go.
Thanks again.
